147 - Which Was Hilarious, Of Course - Week of 2/6/19

The Fellowship is pleased to present our latest Casting Call! This time we're looking at the 1974 live-action Shazam TV series. It ran for two seasons (alongside the Isis series) on Saturday mornings back in the day. We've got heroes, villains, some varying interpretations, and a whole lot of other stuff. Plus our usual strange perspectives, as well as our picks of the week.
Announcements:
Come hang out with us! We have monthly meetups on 2nd Saturdays at our local comic shop (A Galaxy Called Dallas in Garland, TX); details on Facebook & Twitter to come soon
What we're up to this week:
The Kickstarter for Boston Metaphysical Society: The Spirit of Rebellion is live now, and runs through Feb. 22, so get out there and back it!
Still reading Hellboy, and just barely got back on the internet in time to record this
Under the weather, rearranging the house (finding comics), and reading comic strips online (tangent on the new Nancy strip)
Big Bag o' Nothing - also not feeling well
Watched a Twitch stream about the super blood wolf moon thing, check out science communicator Skylias
Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. Thank you!)
Here's the intro clip of the show that we mentioned. And I mentioned it at the end, but you might need to Google some names for this one. We got a bit obscure at times (even though Liz forgot The Princess Bride! 😛 ).

Picks for the week of 2/6:
Wrong Earth #6 (Ahoy Comics)
Punchline #4 (Antarctic Press)
Batman The Maxx: Arkham Dreams #4 (DC/IDW)
The Girl In The Bay #1 (Dark Horse/Berger)

Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion #5 (Dark Horse) - Netflix series coming soon
Feathers trade (BOOM! Studios)
Honorable Mention: Red Sonja #1 (Dynamite)
