160 - Super Brain-Freeze Buster - Week of 5/8/19

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of this year's summer movie lineup. As usual, there's an awful lot of interesting stuff coming out between May 1 and Labor Day. We talk cool movies, cinematic surprises, fun casting, and a whole lot of other stuff. Plus our usual strange behavior, as well as our picks of the week.
Announcements:
Come hang out with us! We have monthly meetups on 2nd Saturdays in Garland, TX; details on Facebook & Twitter & the Events tab on our website
What we're up to this week:
It Came From Another World! - an early Christopher Mihm movie involving an alien invasion on a shoestring budget
Nobody Is In Control #1 (Black Mask Comics) - interesting conspiracy title; Good Girls (on Netflix) - fun crime story; also joined the AMC Stubs A-List (some Avengers: Endgame talk here, but no spoilers - in fact, a bit of anti-spoiler soapbox)
DC Silver Age books - Green Lantern & Doom Patrol; groovy stuff
Another blast from the past - Deathmatch (BOOM! Studios)

Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. Thank you!)
Summer movies! We ended up being a lot more comprehensive than we intended with these. So get out there and enjoy your movies!
Also, any comparison between Cujo and Sharknado was purely coincidental and not an opinion shared by all members of the team 😉
