The Fellowship is pleased to present a combined installment of our comedy month for 2021. This year we're focusing on spy parody movies, and this week we're covering Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine (1965) and Modesty Blaise (1966). Both of these films share an obvious influence (see if you can spot it 🙂). Plus our usual tangents galore and our comics picks of the week.
Announcements:
We found a way to do our monthly meetups - on Discord! Come hang out with us in the voice channel on the 3rd Saturday of the month; details on Facebook & Twitter & the Events tab on our website
We're super excited to announce our partnership with ComicBooks For Kids. Details on the website (and you should be listening to hear more, too 🙂)
What we're up to this week:
Dealing with the weather issues, catching up on TV, James Spader, Future State, Gl'urk and Bo (local comic), Wandavision, MCU stuff, a brief review of The Astro-Zombies (1968), catching up on reading, more Future State (mainly tangents), working on Discord stuff and watching movies
Check out our sponsor page! Head to the website and click on the banners for Things From Another World! (Click through the TFAW banner on our site and we get a cut. Thank you!)
We added our picks to the website as their own page! It's an easy reference for you to find some cool stuff to read (especially in social distancing mode). So go check it out, and hit the site as you need or want 🙂
And we're going back to an old favorite on Discord this month - come join us over there and join the fun 🙂
Side note: the sequel to The Astro-Zombies was Mark of the Astro-Zombies, a straight-to-video gem from 2004. (It's on YouTube, but I don't know if I can do that to myself 😉)

Mike Mignola: The Quarantine Sketchbook (Dark Horse)
X-Men Epic Collection: The Fate of the Phoenix (Marvel)
