The Best Jimmy Stewart Impression - Week of 5/13/20

The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of summer movies. But since we can't be sure that we'll have movies this summer, we took it back to the summer movies of 1985. The 1980s was a decade of highs and lows, in movies or otherwise, and '85 had some major hits and some major misses. We talk a whole lot about the ones we liked, as much as we dare about the ones we didn't, and a bunch of stuff in between. Plus our usual tangents galore and our comics picks of the week.
Announcements:
Come hang out with us! We usually have monthly meetups on 2nd Saturdays in Garland, TX; details on Facebook & Twitter & the Events tab on our website

What we're up to this week:
Bad drug trips, UFO tapes from the Pentagon, the American Heroes channel, shows about outlaws, big bag of nothing (insomnia), documentaries: Mel Brooks American Masters, I Know That Voice (voice actors), picked up the book The League of Regrettable Sidekicks, still on Red Dead Redemption roleplay on Twitch

Robert Ford was the name of the guy who killed Jesse James (just trying to help 🙂)
The Fletch books were written by Gregory Mcdonald (I was close, but miles away)

Justice League International volume 1 (DC)
Jinx (Image)
Die Kitty Die: Hollywood or Bust (Chapterhouse Comics)
Shoutouts:
Please do what you can for not only local comic shops, but also your favorite creators online - many of them have online shops or Patreons or Kickstarter stuff - obviously take care of you and yours first, but if you can afford to buy something, every little bit helps
